Our disadvantaged students lack developmental opportunities to use their intelligence and talent to make positive choices. We eliminate economic and social barriers by providing free transportation to access our free classes with instruments. As kids learn to play and perform, they develop both mental and social skills.
Just $10 pays a child’s monthly transport.
Your support provides free classes with transportation for disadvantaged youth.
We have partnered with AustinISD, Boys & Girls Clubs, Austin Parks & Recreation Dept., Austin Children’s Services, Southwest Key’s Travis County Juvenile Probation Program, True Light Day Care, and Ebenezer Baptist Church.

GRANTS & SPONSORS
Austin Community Steelband’s professional Steelpan School was founded in 2003 to teach students to play and perform on this unique instrument. We have developed a track record of support for our programs and events.
This project is supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts.
